Nutritious Halloween-Themed Snacks
Halloween is right around the corner. And that means our angelic children will soon turn into little demons and monsters after consuming copious amounts of sugar.
What if this year we could forgo all of that sugar (and all of those unpleasant sugar crashes?) and instead feed our kids healthy snacks?
The following snacks are fun, festive and best of all, healthy AND delicious!
So simple and so cute. Simply take some mini Babel cheese rounds, cut out a jagged mouth line in the red casing, glue on a few wacky eyes to the upper part of the casing and abracadabra – you’ve got a festive, healthy snack.
For this delicious salad all you need is your imagination, fruit, and some good cutting skills. You can also use spooky cookie cutters to get ghost, cat and pumpkin shapes out of apple, pineapple, watermelon and cantaloupe slices. Use a little food coloring to create tiny eyes and your kids will be thrilled to eat their produce!
Healthy Halloween Mummy Pizzas
Who says Halloween can’t be savory? These mini-pizzas are super flavorful and they look terrific! As an added bonus, these mummy pizzas are gluten-free!
Pumpkin Spice Granola Cups with Yogurt
Granola gives your kids the sweet and crunch they desire, but without unnecessary amounts of sugar. This healthy treat also has a wonderful pumpkin spice flavor and you can top with your child’s favorite yogurt.
Super simple and incredibly healthy. Kids will love to dig into this hummus with a variety of sliced veggies or pita chips!
This is a fun and easy snack to make with yogurt and slices of banana. And they are incredibly fun to decorate.
Halloween Pumpkin Deviled Eggs
Sometimes the perfect nutritious Halloween snack is staring you right in the face! These deviled eggs are a great way to get some necessary protein into your kids.
Don’t forget to get your kids involved in the making of these snacks. Sometimes preparation is almost as fun as eating! A spooky and delicious Halloween to you and yours!
